DISCOVERY WOOJOOJ
Translation: Love Song (Bardi)
Photograph by Russell James. Collaborative art by Aubrey Tigan (AUS).
5’ x 6’3” archival pigment ink printed on rag cotton with acrylic and ochre applications.
James’ photograph represents the ascension of the sky on a new day, an expression of our future in Discovery. The clouds were photographed in Bardi country shortly after sunrise during transitional weather. James’ love of nature is never more apparent than when his camera is focused on the water or the sky.
Tigan’s collaborative art is inspired by the overall journey of life and the search for love that is a common thread in all humanity. Love with many places for many reasons, love with many things.
The collaborative meaning is a simple but powerful message of hope and love.
